Virtual worlds and Social media

About to conquer a virtual world? Starting a successful business or other activity in virtual worlds requires special knowledge on how virtual worlds work, who are involved, what are the prospects and benefits, and what are the keys to succeed. I have conducted research on virtual worlds and virtual realities, their use and usability since late 1990's in education and other organisational contexts, awarded a PhD.

Library 2.0

The notion Library 2.0 has been described to place a special emphasis on users, rich experience, social richness, participation and communal innovativeness . Although the notion has its roots in the development of digital libraries, user centred information research and social computing, the practical implications of these emphases in actual user contexts is very much under debate. The need for comprehensive theorical and empirical understanding of the phenomenon is clear.

Information 2.0

The 2.0 is definitely everywhere. Swedish Library Association organised in May 23-25 their annual meeting. Theme was a 2.0 concept Library 2.0 (Bibliotek 2.0) originally coined by Michael Casey in autumn 2005.
